On the third day of our round trip, we continued to Hradec Králové, also known as Königgrätz. This city, with its rich history and impressive architecture, promised a fascinating exploration. We strolled through the old town, whose buildings feature a mix of Gothic, Baroque, and Modernist styles. I was particularly impressed by the White Tower, from whose top there is a breathtaking view over the city and its surroundings.
Our next destination was Litomyšl, the birthplace of the famous composer Bedřich Smetana. Upon entering this charming town, we immediately felt the artistic atmosphere that permeated the air. The main attraction was the Renaissance castle of Litomyšl, a structure of such splendor and finesse that it rightfully belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The castle facade, adorned with sgraffito decorations, told its own stories as we wandered through the magnificent rooms and the elegant castle garden. It was like walking through a living work of art.
After visiting the castle and taking a short stroll through the picturesque streets of Litomyšl, we continued our journey and eventually reached Brno, the Moravian capital. This vibrant city welcomed us with open arms. The blend of historical significance and modern dynamism made Brno the perfect conclusion to our third day of travel.
Upon arriving in Brno, we were immediately drawn to the city's vibrant energy. The streets were alive with cafés, shops, and cultural offerings that invited us to discover more of this fascinating city. The day ended with a relaxed evening stroll through the bustling streets of Brno, as we made plans for the next day and reflected on the many impressions of the day.
