Our sixth day began with a drive to Třebíč, a place known for its well-preserved Jewish quarter, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visiting this quarter was an impressive experience. We strolled through the narrow streets, past historic buildings that testified to the rich history and culture of the Jewish community in Třebíč. The atmosphere in this part of the city felt like walking through the pages of a living history book.
We then made our way to Telč, a town famous for its beautiful town square in Renaissance and Baroque style, which is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The guided tour through Telč was another highlight of our journey. The town square, surrounded by brightly painted houses with high gables and arcades, provided a perfect backdrop for our exploration. It was like stepping into a painting, where every corner tells its own story.
In addition to the picturesque town square, we also visited the impressive Renaissance castle of Telč. This castle, with its splendid halls and richly decorated facades, gave us a glimpse into the grandeur and wealth of past times.
After the city tour, we took the opportunity to stroll through the local market. The stalls offered a variety of regional products and handicrafts, giving us the chance to take a piece of local culture with us. To conclude the day, we treated ourselves to one of the local specialties: pancakes, accompanied by a glass of excellent Moravian wine. It was the perfect ending to a day where we fully enjoyed the historical beauty and culinary delights of the Moravian region.
